I was just listening to "France" and I completely forgot about the steel drums in that tune. Pretty damn fine I must say. Plus the jamming section of the tune that has an UJB jam hint to it is amazing with that sound. Anyone know of live performances when they used a steel drum? I know France was never played live but any other tunes wouyld be appreciated.

I've never heard any Lobster. Hey do you by chance have the Diga Rhythm Band that Mickey put together ( with Garcia on two tracks )? No steel drums I don't think but lots of vibes and other intruments that sound similar. If you don't have it I highly recommend it.

Never even heard of it. Thanks for the heads up on that. That will be my homework for tomorrow.

I hope you get it, it's excellant. And there's a pre-Fire instrumental version of that tune with Jerry on it.
